This week, I'm sharing another snippet from His Inherited Princess, (Royal House of Saene Book 2). It's a section of the story that made me laugh when writing it.

“There’s no shame in admitting it. I’ve been thinking about you, as well,” he said. “I’ve concluded that I must kiss you again.”

He palmed her abdomen, causing sensual havoc with his gentle caresses. Her breath came in short, shallow bursts while the distance between them began to shrink. 

“No.” It sounded like a plea, and yet, she found herself adding, “Please.” 

“What are you afraid of?” 

“This isn’t about fear. How can you suspect me of treason and yet want to kiss me?” 

He pulled back. “I don’t see what one has to do with the other.”
