When a perfectly shaped ass beckons | #LAPLoveNotes #Romance #WeekendReads

Image
Hello folks! Welcome to another #LoveNotes post. The theme for today's snippets is the butt (ass) grab, inspired by this RWOWA post about butt (ass) grabs in romance novels. In this snippet from Expecting Ty's Baby, my hero, Ty, is contemplating performing a butt grab. Enjoy! He’d never heard her sing before, and as he absorbed its quality, his stomach growled drawing his attention to the aroma of food tickling his nostrils. He followed the sound and smell, only stopping when he reached the entrance to the kitchenette. Taking full advantage of the fact that she had her back to him, Ty leaned against the wall, admiring the gentle sway of her hips as she danced to her own tune while attending to something on the stove. A smile crept to his lips as he considered the merits and demerits of walking up behind her and squeezing her perfectly shaped ass. Perhaps not a good idea, he conceded, since she was working with hot oil. *** I hope you enjoyed the sni...

Hello there and thanks for visiting. I'm sharing another excerpt from Chapter one of  Expecting Ty's Baby . This follows from last week's post. If you missed you my last two excerpts, you might want to read then before embarking on part 3. Chapter 1: Part 1 Chapter 1: Part  2 Chapter 1: Part  3 EXPECTING TY'S BABY © by Empi Baryeh 2019 (Chapter 1: Part 4) He’d been just in time to see Patricia walk into the main reception, an African goddess, her skin a flawless cocoa brown much darker than his caramel complexion. High heels added a couple of inches to her five-seven frame. She’d been wearing skinny jeans and a fashionable blouse made from African print fabric. Slung over one shoulder was a handbag, and in her other hand she held, of all things, a silver toolbox. His curiosity aroused, he’d lingered at the entryway. She’d flashed an even set of pearly whites at the receptionist and asked for Naaki, whom he’d had the pleasure of teasing his best f...

Chapter 1: Part 1 Chapter 1: Part  2 EXPECTING TY'S BABY © by Empi Baryeh 2019 (Chapter 1: Part 3) It took thirty minutes of walking in circles and passing the same neighborhood shop three times before Ty Webber admitted it. He was lost.

Hello there and thanks for visiting. I'm sharing another excerpt from Chapter one of Expecting Ty's Baby . This follows from Wednesday's post. Read  Chapter 1, Part 1   before you embark on part 2. Enjoy! 💖 EXPECTING TY'S BABY © by Empi Baryeh 2019 (Chapter 1: Part 2) Patricia blew out a breath of pent up frustration then sipped her tea in favor of wasting any effort in trying to deny the truth of her friend’s words. She was no prude, but sex with Ty had been beyond her expectations. She sighed. He’d been so attuned to her needs, touching her as if he’d known her body for much longer than a week. He’d branded her in a way she wasn’t sure could be replicated. Would her body ever get over him? She shoved the thoughts out of her mind, squaring her shoulders in a false show of indifference. “It doesn’t matter. We’re never going to see each other again, so what’s the point? What he doesn’t know won’t hurt him.” “Him or you? Don’t assume Ty is going to ma...

I hope you e njoy the read💖 EXPECTING TY'S BABY © by Empi Baryeh 2019 (Chapter 1: Part 1) Accra, Ghana: Patricia Owusu flicked a coin into the air, deftly catching it between her palm and the back of her other hand. “Heads, I tell Ty he’s going to be a father; tails, I don’t.” Across the table in their usual corner of the Infusions Café where they met for breakfast one Sunday every month, her best friend and blushing bride-to-be, Naaki Tabika, quirked an eyebrow. “Pat, don’t even joke about something like this. Ty has a right to know.” “Who says I’m joking?” Patricia lifted her hand to reveal the coin and her heart sank. “Heads,” Naaki said with a smile. “Clearly, fate knows what it’s do...

Hi folks! First of all, let me wish my American friends and fans a Happy Thanksgiving. I hope you all had a wonderful time with your loved ones. Over here, in Ghana, we don't have an official Thanksgiving, but we've certainly already got into the spirit of the Holidays. I have some good news to share.  Last night, Chancing Faith won third place (out of twenty-one entries) in the 'novel' category of the Ghana Association of Writers (GAW) Literary Awards 2018. The novel category of the awards is named after renowned Ghanaian author, Ayi Kwei Armah , who is known for The Beautyful Ones Are Not Yet Born . I can't tell you how thrilled I am, not just for winning this award, but especially because a romance novel placed so high in a general fiction award. While I have some general Women's Fiction in the works (more on that in due course), this award has affirmed my choice to focus more on the romance genre as a Ghanaian author. The recognition of romance f...
