Hi folks! It's been a while since I posted. I've been hiding in my editing cave polishing a story for submission. I am happy to announce that I've submitted and ready to embark on the next hero and heroine's journey. Today, though, I'm here to mention  the Caine Prize for African Writing , a registered charity whose aim is to bring African writing to a wider audience using our annual literary award. In addition to administering the Prize, the charity also works to connect readers with African writers through a series of public events, as well as helping emerging writers in Africa to enter the world of mainstream publishing through the annual Caine Prize writers’ workshop which takes place in a different African country each year. The deadline to enter the 2019 Prize is 31st January 2019. From what I gather, the prize is only for published, short stories (3000 - 10000 words) and can ony be submitted by a publisher.
