VDayBlogHop

It's been a fun week, hasn't it? I am sure we all had a blast with the love scenes of various heat levels. I'm not going to ask about favourites since that would be hard to do for many of you. What I will say is, I hope you had a wonderful hop (I know I did) and that you had an even better Valentine's Day (creating your own love scenes).

Anyway, enough beating about the bush. Time to announce my Rafflecopter winner....(drumroll)

LoveSceneBlogHopCarousel

Hi Peeps! It occurred to me the other day that I hadn’t posted anything in 2014, and then I heard about the Evernight Love Scene Blog Hop and thought this would be a perfect way to start my blogging year.

So I welcome you to the Love Scene Blog Hop where EP authors are sharing a love scenes from their books – as you know, Valentine's Day is only a week away.

The Grand Prize is a $100 Visa gift card for a night out to be randomly chosen from all blog comments. Please include your email address in the comments.

My Prize is a $10 Evernight gift card (see rafflecopter link below).

My love scene is from my Evernight novel Most Eligible Bachelor, which also happens to be a Valentine’s Day story. It's the beginning of the first love scene in the novel, and to give you context, here's the blurb:

BLURB - MOST ELIGIBLE BACHELOR
Heat level: 2

MEB_MDMagazine columnist Chantelle Sah doesn’t celebrate Valentine’s Day—not since her fiancĂ©’s betrayal three years ago—and after botching her first assignment as a feature writer, she’s more than willing to put in a hard day’s work this Valentine’s Day; even if it means going on a date with gorgeous construction Tycoon, Lord McKenzie, and opening herself to an onslaught of all things love.

When Lord—his given name, not a title—sets his sights on Chantelle, it isn’t just work he has on his mind. But even he couldn’t have predicted the magnetic attraction between them when they meet, nor the evening ending with more than an interview. Now he has to convince Chantelle that their one-night stand wasn’t a mistake. Can he win her love without revealing a secret from their night of passion, which could prove fatal for both their hearts?

Lord McKenzie knew he was in trouble the moment he reached for the door and found Chantelle’s hand instead. She turned, her almond-shaped eyes widening. Their hazel intensity met his gaze, and he knew he was done for.

Energy passed between them, zapping his will to resist.

“Chantelle.” His voice came out heavy, having forced its way out of the vise gripping his throat.

He pulled her, intending to have one more taste of her luscious full lips. He felt no resistance on her part as she stepped toward him. Her bag dropped to the floor just before her body slammed against his, every soft curve fitting perfectly into him as he laid claim on her lips.

She kissed him back with the same hunger with which he devoured her. Fire ignited, took over. She gripped his t-shirt, tugging it out of his trousers in the process. He became instantly hard. When her hands grazed his skin, he lost hold of any control he had tried to maintain. A kiss wouldn’t be enough to douse the inferno of desire consuming them. Something it seemed she’d already realized, because she pushed the t-shirt up his torso.

Their breathing and moans mingled as they attended to the multiple tasks of kissing, shedding their clothes and finding a place to settle. Chantelle’s top came off first, followed by his, then her jeans and his. Stumbling urgently to the loveseat, they continued their kissing and frantic groping.

With one snap, her bra came off, making Lord pause. He needed to take in the sight before him. In nothing but a flimsy pair of lacy white panties, she was a vision of perfection, her body a work of art. Her tall frame ordinarily projected an impression of slimness, but underneath her clothes were curves, lush and feminine, ample hips narrowing into a small waist and firm breasts proudly pouting at him, all wrapped in flawless milk-chocolate skin.

“You’re incredibly beautiful,” he whispered.

He couldn’t wait to taste her. But first, he needed to touch.

Reverently he cupped her breasts and kneaded them gently, drawing a soft moan from her. His hands travelled down her flat stomach to her hips, enjoying the feel of her curves. His mouth followed with kisses, along the same path to her navel. Reaching for the hem of her panties, he paused, raising his eyes to meet her gaze.

She watched him with sultry eyes, her pupils dilated. Seeing the desire in their depths caused several ounces of restraint to slip from his grip, but he needed to know they were on the same page. He wasn’t going any further if she had doubts.

“Tell me to take this off.”

She gave a slight nod. “Make me feel like a woman.”

With pleasure. He began to rid her of the panties, kissing every newly exposed part of her, as the underwear slowly came off. When it reached her calf, he released it, concentrating his efforts on places between her legs.

She sucked in a breath when he touched her. She was wet, her sensitive bud swollen. He stroked her gently with his fingers, while his mouth traced kisses back to her breasts. She moaned, reaching down to cuddle his head as his tongue pleasured the tight peaks of her breasts. Her touch was so gentle that it stoked the fire of his desire.

He groaned against a hard nipple as he slipped a finger into her slick heat. God, she felt so good. His erection throbbed, wanting – no, needing – to be surrounded the way his finger was. However, he had to take it slow, to give her multiple releases before he extracted his own pleasure.

His thumb continued fondling her pleasure spot. She whimpered, stiffening. A moan sounded in her throat, but her lips were pressed together. It seemed she was suppressing her moans, releasing them only when the pleasure became unbearable. Why?

Was she not used to relinquishing control, or was she not accustomed to getting this amount of stimulation? Either way, he needed to get her to relax.

“Let yourself go, Chantelle,” he said against her skin, tasting the salty sheen of sweat as his lips moved down her stomach. He dipped his tongue in her navel, mimicking the movements of his finger.

She responded with a soft cry, and then a long moan as her body moved in rhythm with his strokes. Her nails dug into his shoulders. They were going to leave evidence of their moment of passion. Not that it was needed; he’d remember this night.

He pushed another finger into her, drawing out another cry from her lips. Her thighs locked around his waist.

“That’s it,” he said, as her body tensed up. He traced his tongue along her skin to her ribs where he nipped her side lightly with his teeth, followed by an open-mouthed kiss.

Her body shuddered. “Oh!”

He loved hearing her moan. “That’s it, Chantelle.”

She’d reached the edge. He could tell from the sharp, shallow breaths and the trembling of her body. Yet she held on. He was more determined than ever to ensure this night didn’t end with him almost getting her there. He moved over her until their eyes were level. Hers were closed.

“Chantelle, let go,” he said in a determined whisper.

Her eyes flew open, and he glimpsed the storm raging within them before they rolled back. She came quickly, with a gasp and a shudder, as if she hadn’t wanted to or expected it.
