Color of Love Blog Hop 2014 – @EmpiBaryeh @KiruTaye @NanaPrah

It's time once again for the COLOR OF LOVE Blog Hop! Hosted this year by Love Bites and Silk in conjunction with Empi Baryeh (me), Kiru Taye, and Nana Prah, from today until Monday (4th - 8th December) we are celebrating romance in colour and offering you a chance of discovering new books, new authors and new settings as well as winning prizes.

ColorofLove_Banner500pwIt's bigger and better this year. We have 50 blogs participating, each featuring an interracial and multicultural romance book that you may not have read yet! This is your chance to let the blogging world know what you love about interracial or multicultural romance novels. Is it the diverse cultural setting of the stories, the exotic locations, the sexy accents or the hot bodies?

For me, it's definitely the different cultures and settings. I love love love when the author uses non-English words and phrases. Throw in an interracial baby, and I'm in IR/MC heaven. LOL

SOOOO, what do you like about IR/MC romance?

Answer that question in comments for a chance to win my blog prize - a $10 Amazon Gift Card.

Don't forget to visit our Rafflecopter giveaway for a chance to win one of the GRAND PRIZES:

He didn’t do short-term relationships…

Until he met her!

Naaki Tabika has a burning need to prove, to herself and others, that she’s more than wife and mother material. To do so, she’s prepared to give up everything for her job. Meeting Thane, however, makes her want to get personal. But falling for her boss could destroy her career. Will she be willing to risk it all for the one thing that can make her truly happy?

  1. I love that the characters can love freely ( in some there are a few hurdles, but they work out in the end). That the author is not afraid to step out the box...

  2. I like that it shows there are no boundaries when it comes to falling in love.

  3. I love reading IR/MC because they tend to deal with many different cultures and aspects of life. They let me see that people of color have the same issues and hang-up as the rest of the world. I love the authors who tackle this genre because they are great at telling stories that are real, funny, and have a HEA that’s believable. However, they do allow you to also escape. :-)

I found the genre late. I only really knew of the Harlequin Kimani line. They weren’t really readily available and were only AA at the time. I love this hop because I find new books and sometime new authors. I found some of my fav authors through this hop.

    Thank for the opportunity!

  4. Chancing Faith was the first Interracial book I had ever read set in Africa. I loved it. I can't wait for more books from you.

  5. I have always been intrigued by other cultures. So naturally to read about romances and relationships within other cultures is something extremely interesting to me. My father was always like this too. I enjoy understanding other traditions and seeing others interact with the people from USA!

  7. I love to see different cultures find ways to come together and find common ground. Relationships are not always easy and adding in different backgrounds can add more issues sometimes. Besides, I completely agree about the babies! ;)
Being in a IR relationship myself, I relate more to the stories, I think.
Thank you for the wonderful hop! Adding this one to my TBR.

  8. I love IR/MC books because I like to explore different cultures. I love books that are set in foreign countries because they make me feel like I'm living there.
